Daily Schedule

We have found that more breaks in the day actually results in more productivity. Because of this, we have developed a schedule that includes a lot of opportunity for moving around. It does not matter what age your child is, the schedule for all is the same. We have designed a day that works for all ages but at their respective grade level. This is what a typical day looks like.

*The amount of time that is spent on each class by each student is determined by the testing that is done to determine attention span (TOVA). If a student can focus for 20 minutes, then they are able to do 1 class in a 20 minute time frame. Some students can only focus for 10 minutes, so they would work on 2 classes in a 20 minute time frame. An average student will complete, on average 12-16 ‘classes’ per day. +Current Extra-Curricular Activities include Running, Kick-ball, Doodle Art, Spelling Bee, Salsa Dance, Uno Tournaments, Gardening, Drumline Drumming, Chess and Mummy Ball.

Dr. Paul Cates, leading authority on cognitive education and original author of the IEP, along with his son and colleague, Dr. Kirk Cates, evaluates every child and makes recommendations regarding curriculum and daily structure. Our trained staff consults with Dr. Cates on a consistent basis (sometimes daily) to ensure that each student is progressing.
